Your Life Your Choice

FIRST is registered to provide this self-directed Disability Services option. As we believe this option shouldn't erode your funding, our administration charges are lower than most that are available. Please contact us for more details.

Self-directed Funding

Self-directed funding is an option provided by FIRST where the person and/or family of the person have greater control over their allocated funding. An example might be the employment of a support worker for personal support or a domestic worker for household assistance. While this may be time consuming it can be a cost-effective option.
NDIS

The Commonwealth Government has committed to implementing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). It is expected that the scheme will be fully operational by the end of 2019. While various trials have been conducted, there is still a long way to go before we have full implementation and all issues are resolved, so we are looking at a long transition period during which the State Government will continue to fund services. FIRST ensure that we are keeping up to date with on the progress of the NDIS transition, so please contact us if you want more detail.

Please contact us for specific information on this option.
