Course Summary
FIRST have tailored this course for people with a disability providing them with an opportunity to express themselves in many different ways. It allows freedom to those individuals who have limited mobility and communication skills but can still actively participate and create in an arts framework. This course is for anyone keen to undertake the arts initiative and enjoy the processes involved in creating something new and exciting. FIRST encourages individuals to express who they are and how they are feeling using various mediums in a variety of ways. This constructive way of engaging the participant adds to the overall learning experience.

Entry Requirements
There will be no minimum entry requirements for this course. Prior to commencement of the course participants will need to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment (LLN) this informs the course supervisor of their needs for adaptive and/or augmentative equipment to enable reasonable adjustments to be made for each learner to participate in the learning.

Career Possibilities
Participants may exit the course at their discretion. Open employment may not be suitable. However, learners who complete selected units from the course will have developed skills to participate in a range of work options eg supported employment, work units, or unpaid work in the creative arts field

Job roles and titles vary across different industry sectors. This is an entry level qualification into Visual Arts
